Identifont

Here's a great site for all us book/print/typography geeks:

Identifont has a lot of info about different fonts, and allows you to run a search on a font name to see a sample or similar fonts. But the most interesting part of the site to my mind is the "Identify a font" option, where you answer a series of questions about a font you've seen. It will try to tell you what the name of the font is. I've had mixed results using this to identify fonts I already know the names of, but it's still a neat tool.

Identifont also has information on downloading free fonts from other sites.

Pictures of Walls

Today I am pulling a double shift at the reference desk.

I'm also looking at pictures of walls with stuff written on them.

Is this still the SLIS Procrastination Blog? Or, the Blog Formerly Known as the SLIS Procrastination Blog?

Just to start a discussion, the title of this blog is a bit misleading as all of the posters are now practicing procrastination at some other location. I don't have a good title to offer up at this time, but perhaps a new title is in order. Also, the Rejection Letter count is a bit outdated. Just some thoughts.

Move over dictionary.com, there's a new kid in town (new to me, in any case). I'd like to point out my new favorite website: Ninjawords. It's a really cool program, so pretty and simple; however, the definitions come from a "wiktionary" so don't go citing this shit anywhere important.
