My triumphant return to Madison

Sorry I've been incommunicado, I've been having to fight my sister for the use of our mother's extremely slow dial-up Internet connection (it's taken me nearly nine minutes just to get to the blog, log in, and start a new post). I also had to wait 'til my mom knew her schedule for tomorrow so I'd know if I could borrow her car.

All this leads me to wonder: HAVE I TRAVELED BACK IN TIME TO THE YEAR 1997?

And if I have, can we still be friends even though we won't meet at SLIS for another eight years or so? I promise not to make fun of you about the whole "MMMBop" thing.

If so, and if you are in Madison tomorrow (Thursday, 12/27), please meet me downtown, where we can enjoy delicious foods and refreshing beverages.

Wastin' away again

Happy Hour tomorrow will be east side style- $2 frozen margaritas at Tex Tubb's Taco Palace! Annie and I will be there around 6... hope to see the rest of you bitches too.

I am now officially employed

I just wanted to let you all know that I've moved into my new apartment and started my new job today. I have my computer log-in and ID card and all that official stuff. Everything is going well, but I miss Happy Hour already. I'll buy a ginger ale for myself tomorrow evening, but it just won't be the same!

Could any of you bitches be persuaded to commence happy hour at an earlier than usual hour this week? Employment is not all it's cracked up to be: I need to be tucked in bed and sleeping before 11, and I probably shouldn't be more hungover than the undergrads who I boss around. So drinking at 5PM is my only option. Join me.

Should we try the Orpheum? Or go back to the good ol' Terrace?
