unsolicited rejection
Here's a a story in keeping with my current employment status (I think I'm the only one updating the rejection count in our banner): a funny post from Siva Vaidhyanathan's (NYU professor; used to teach at SLIS) blog. He got a rejection letter for a job he didn't even apply for!

Wacky! Ciaran literally just told us about a rejection letter she just received for a job she didn't apply for. I wonder if it was the same college?
Rest assured, I'm updating the count too. Should we add a new category for "currently in the process of being ignored"? Cause I've got several tallys for that.
He should send them a letter rejecting their rejection letter:
"Dear Bridgewater College:
Thank you for your interest in rejecting me. Your rejection letter was very impressive, however I fear that I am no longer accepting rejection letters at this time..."
So I must be dense, and I haven't even applied for anything yet so it's moot, but I haven't the slightest idea how to update the count. Can someone give clueless me a brief Blogger tutorial?
Ditto on the being ignored thing--4 at the moment who apparently don't think I'm even worth a rejection e-mail.
